category lock

I have a question...

after looking at the Zen Cart feature list, i noticed that it can be set so that
Customers must register to view prices ,

Now I was wonder if there can be something similar,

Customers must register to view certain CATEGORIES

This happens to be a very important issue,

Currently, this is an all or nothing venture ...

Either you can see or you cannot ... but it is not limited to particular Categories ...

While this could be coded for, there would be a lot of customizations to manage all listings, searched, sideboxes, displays, etc. to ensure that a Product from an excluded Category is not seen ...

One method is to hide them out right

The second is to make the Product in the given Category a teaser to encourage a guest to create an account to see what's behind door number 3 ...

In either case, this would be a lot of work ...
