Getting Rid of Wildcard Char. Behide Homepage URL

Gooday everyone,

When shopping at my website, Customers have multiple ways to return to my Homepage, namely, by clicking the "Home" hyperlink or the Header banner hyperlink etc. I noticed that sometimes, there are some trailing char. behide the Homepage hyperlink like the following:
http://www.myhaven.com/index.php?main_page=index

Could anyone advise me on how can I get rid of all the wildcard characters that is trailing the Homepage URL?
Change from:
http://www.myhaven.com/index.php?main_page=index
To:
http://www.myhaven.com/index.php?main_page=index
or:
http://www.myhaven.com/

EDITED: Never, ever post the zen_id or zenAdminID (session id) in a forum, email, newsgroup, newsletter, advertisement, etc. etc. etc. or you will be doomed ... :eek:

Sten those wildcards are the zen ID and will only show on first click and when going from ssl to non ssl and back

Is there any way to pass those info. through other means rather than the URL?

dwno has a module for keeping it hidden, it only shows once
