Help!! What are these items called?

I am using the default-template. I have editied all the various css stylesheets that I can find (looking for the color brown or something similar) of this template and have had no luck.. Since I don't know what the borders around the sideboxs are called I can't ask this question with any intellience. I just want to change all the items that are filled with the now brown/tan color to a mauve or purple color. Can someone point me in the right direction? I don't mind editing every file in zencart if it will get the results I need. I'm not afraid to do the work but I just can't find where this color brown/tan is coming from.

Before you get any further, I'd recommend an upgrade of the newest version of Zen Cart. Being that your store is new, it's the best time. Unfortunately, that template you are using is tabled and will likely break with any further updates anyways. In the new version, the Zen Cart team has given a non-tabled version of that template... very easy to customize.

Getting back to your question, you would have to modify the tile_back.jpg image in your \includes\templates\classic\images folder. The best bet is to make a new image(same size) and overwrite the original file. Or just remove the reference out of your stylesheet and use simple background color. :smile:

Thanks so much for your help. It was exactlly what I needed. Now....if I can work up the courage I will update to the latest version of Zencart. I have two clients using zencart so that means two upgrades. I think it best I wait until my new computer gets here and not try this on my laptop. The screen is so small I really cant read it very well and I don't want screw up the process.

Someone on here told me there was no manual for Zencart but I did find one and it was very helpfull in getting me started. I was just going in circles and getting nowhere until I got the manual. I purchased it from zencartstore.com/

You sound like you will be busy for awhile. Everything should go smoothly with the upgrades though. Yeah, probably best wait for the new computer. I like laptops, but I agree with you.

I'm glad you found a guide. Myself, I have a Zen Cart journal where I jot down new things I've learn and changes I've made. Of course including, a whole desktop of files and reference screenshots. I forget things easy. :laugh:
