Really, I just don't know what to title this

Alright, I log into my cart this morning to check this weekend orders. There is none, which is odd. I then also notice that not only were no orders placed, but according to the counter displayed in the admin area no-one even visited the site for 3 days.

Not possible...

I thought perhaps I was hacked, I hung my head and went to check the admin log table...but of course there was no entry for the last few days.

I have Google analytics tied into the cart. It tells me that orders were in fact placed during this time, but they simply don't show up on the cart. Beyond that, I have a couple cron jobs set up to automatically back up the entire database and all files every morning. All of the backups for the last few days show pretty much the same thing, no data before the 1st. Except - I took a look at the orders table and found something startling, the orders were there. They just aren't showing up on the cart itself.

This in turn leads me to realize that I'd only been checking the admin logs table, and that in fact ALL of the data seems to be there. It's just not showing up on the cart. The cart is functioning mind you, I placed a test order and it showed up, but nothing else is visible. I'm stumped, any ideas?

"no orders placed"
"there are none"
"i did a test order and it showed up... but nothing shows up"

Do you have a filter set on your orders page that's only showing you orders related to a certain order-status?

Otherwise, I'm not following the results of your test order very well.
Does your test order show up in the same table where you say you are seeing weekend orders?
Does your test order show up in the Admin area? If so, what other orders are there as well?
What happens if you select different order-status options from the pulldown menu?

Re: Really, I just don't know what to title this

Sorry, as long-winded as that was I suppose I didn't give you all the details. No orders show up in the admin area, even with "all orders" selected, since the 1st of the month. If I actually dump the data using phpMyadmin I can see that orders exist at least until the 3rd.

One oddity is that I placed a quick test order, and that did actually show up. I promptly deleted it to avoid confusion and didn't look into it any further. Something I'll probably do now.

BTW, it's not just the orders. The Admin area does not reflect any customers, orders, page views, ANYTHING for the last few days. Except that test order....Somehow communication is breaking down between the table and the shop for the last few days. This makes ZERO sense to me, tho I attributed it to my own ignorance. Thanks for the feedback.

Also, in case there may be a connection, I received this email from my web space provider early last week:

Hi,

Beginning today, we will be upgrading all shared Linux servers following the
schedule at the link listed below for Apache, PHP and cPanel upgrades. These
upgrades will place PHP 4.4.4 onto all the shared servers for security
reasons due to holes existing in PHP 4.4.1 and 4.4.2. cPanel will be
upgraded to version 10.8.2-R119. If you experience any issues or have any
questions on this, please email [email protected]

Thanks again!

Re: Really, I just don't know what to title this

Everything in the Admin area only seems to reflect what I've personally done. Examples:

-My test orders will show up, none others
-The counter reflects my visits (two of them) this morning, nothing else

If you look at the actual data (as dumped by phpMyadmin) it shows the true values....over 1000 page views today. Is there ANYTHING that could cause the Admin area to only reveal data originating from a specific IP address, my own?

Sounds like you may have two separate databases happening there.

Does your phpMyAdmin database match your configure.php database?

Do your database settings in **/includes/**configure.php match your **/admin/includes/**configure.php?

Maybe your host made some changes to the /includes area but ignored your admin area?

Re: Really, I just don't know what to title this

The "Version" section of my cart still reports a PHP version of 4.4.2.

My host's control panel reports that I am in fact running PHP 4.4.4, a recent upgrade as seen from the Email I posted earlier.

Heh, you're probably still scratching your head vigorously...I figured it out. It turns out that my web host tranferred my entire site to a new box over the weekend. The store, of course, was still pointing to the old one for its data.

Sorry to trouble ya, but thanks!
