Selling SOME items to only one country.

I am setting up a UK website selling books worldwide.

I have a supplier who will dropship their books, but to UK customers only.

Is there a way I can set specific products to be available only within the UK, but all other products available worldwide?

per-product shipping conditions is not something built-in to Zen Cart at the present time.

You'd have to write custom code to prevent checkout if certain products are in the cart and the customer is part of a restricted zone

A friend who uses zencart has told me that you can set up a UK zone, and apply products to that zone only in the attributes section.

I'm fairly certain that as you are the expert this is unlikely to work, but...

I've not yet used the attributes section, and at first glance I cannot see how this is possible.

Is there any chance it could work?
