Cannot send email after upgrade using local Windows server

Ok very new to ZC so bare with me.
My site ins't in production yet so i'm more or less learning...
Curently running 2 fresh installs,
v1.3.0.2 and v1.3.5
on an windows box (xp pro), MySQL 5.0.22, Apache 2.2.2, PHP 5.1.4

Only thing that has been done in both cases

  • Delete **ZC_install **folder
  • Set the **configure.php **files to read only
Usual stuff (didn't bother renaming admin folder at this stage)...
  • Set **E-Mail Transport Method **to 'smtp'
  • Set **SMTP Email Mail Host **to my ISP's smtp server.

Now a test email to admin only works with v1.3.0.2 (my firewall pickup up an outgoing port 25 connection as expected).
Nothing works with 1.3.5 (No firewall alert either even though ZC tell me email has been sent)

?

Re: Cannot send email after upgrade using local Windows server

Im having the same problem and have tried the fixes mentioned in various threads with no success. Ive got 1.3.0 running through a different website and the e-mail is working okay there. Its not the best but its notifing me of new accounts, orders etc... Some of the other e-mail features in 1.3.0 still arent working but Im not as concerned about that as I am with the problems in the upgrade to 1.3.5. Nothing is coming through there, no notifications of account, orders, etc...

Re: Cannot send email after upgrade using local Windows server

I tried the fix but it didnt seem to help things... Would this only apply if I was using the smtp option? I was using sendmail on 1.3.0 and used all the same settings for 1.3.5.

Fair enough.

Did you try all the troubleshooting steps suggested throughout the rest of the same discussion? I could re-post the same stuff here ... but ... the link above should suffice...

Re: Cannot send email after upgrade using local Windows server

I ran across another thread where you explained multiple things to try (wasnt in the link shown above) but I cant seem to find that thread again (not sure if that was what you were referencing) and I was very lost on how to do the mulitple tests. Im very new to ZenCart and program stuff so I may be a lost cause there...

But I was reading over thread on the link posted above and noticed that a solution would be to replace that file (missed that in the first read)... Is that what you suggest?
