Second store, but can I transfer the customers?

Dear Zenners,

I currently have a main store and I am wanting to open a second store. I want my excisting customers to be able to use the 2nd store without having to sign up for a new account.

I know you can do this by transfering tables for customer information to the new database.

anyinput on the process?

I dont get what to do by that link. I am having the same problem. How can i transfer my customer database from my old site to my new site?

What Dr. Byte was eluding to by sending you to that particular page in the wiki was that you are going to have to export the customer tables from your current DB and import them to the new DB.

DrByte's link takes you to the wiki which explains what you need to do. To actually do the export and import, you would need a tool such as phpMyAdmin which most web hosts provide in some form or other.

The WIKI link is up at the top of this page. It is just documents for zen cart.

To export the tables you'll want to use phpMyAdmin which you should be able to get to from the control panel of your host.
