Attributes prices are Zero - I am stumped!

Hi

I have done this many times, yet first time today with v1.3.5.

I have added Option Names and Values and assigned the attributes and prices to every product. Yet the prices are showing 0 for all options.

So my options Names are:

• Rate
• Additional Days

My Values are:

• Rate: Week, Weekend
• Additional Days: 1, 2, 3, ......, 30

Then I assigned prices, so for example, Aluminium Chair:
Rate - Week: £5.10
Rate - Weekend: £3.20
Additional Day: 1=£1
Additional Day: 2=£2
Additional Day: 3=£3
.....
.....
Additional Day: 30=£30

I have set product price to £0 and am using Price by Attribute. It doesn;t work if I enter a product price either. The Product Price also ahows £0.

I changed Templates to Default and it was the same.

Hey there's a problem with Currencies.

I deleted USD ($) currency so I am only left with GBP. I thought I try adding USD back in to see if this was the issue. When I added USD ($) back in it DOES display the price, but only in USD ($). I set GBP (£) to Default but it still shows it in $!

The problem occurs when there is no Code for USD. So the only way I can get this to work is use USD but change currency symbol to £. Even if I add in GBP and set it to default it is using the USD currency and displays £0 when changing the USD code to GBP.

So any help appreciated. Basically want to delete the USD currency and only have GBP there.

in your customized english.php, change your LANGUAGE_CURRENCY setting to match your preference.

Have you tried enabling the currency side box and selecting GBP? You can leave the USD intact and then disable the currency box. Set switch to default language currency to False in Admin/My Store. All my stores are UK based and USD is intact.

Sweet! Changing LANGUAGE_CURRENCY from USD to GBP in english.php works! (although shouldn't be necessary though dont you think? Bet loads of non-US people get this?)

Well there has to be one default so USD is as good as any :smile: although my solution doesn't require editing english.php...

Couldn't the system just not allow deletion of the last remaining currency of which if there is only one then it is also the default? Anyway, not a big deal just a thought.

Patski, forgot to say, I am not using the currency selector box. We're only dealing in GBP so no point. So we couldn't use that solution. Thanks though.

I don't use the currency box either - I just switch it on to make the change to GBP and then switch it off again. I'm assuming that fixes it for everyone visiting the store regardless of country? But may be mistaken...

Ooh, maybe you should check because I thought the box on the front end was user specific, but will always start with the default. So even if you change it then it will stll be the default for other people. Thats what I thought. Maybe I'm wrong though!

If it is user specific then I would have expected tons of people to have commented on the fact that all the prices are in dollars and they haven't...not to mention the shop owners who I built the stores for...willing to be proved wrong though...

There is a switch to disable the selection from the english.php file. Perhaps patski has it turned off
Admin->Configuration->My Store->Switch to Default Language Currency
