What can be displayed in middle container?

I note that Products in Month displays on the frontpage. also you can turn on category tabs. What do most people display there? How can I change this to something besides the montly new products?

Using ezpages, you can create what you want and display it in several locations by choice.

I guess I shold be more specific. I don't want to make links. Instead of showing New Products for September, I would like to show products I have selected. Is this possible?

I am also trying to gauge what most storeowners use in this area.

And ez pages is not only for links, much more power here than you are giving it

could you explain more then what EZ pages can do?

I also note that the EZ pages admin area has options to put it in the header, footer, etc but how about the middle?
