usps.com Click-n-ship AutoFill Button Contrib

CobraPlant:

SPembleton, does the link show up for you in ADMIN > CONFIGURATION? If so, did you reloaded the SQL patch? I didn't do that part since i figured the patch is already there when I upgraded my database.

No, it does not show up as a menu item, but seems to run ok the way it was. When I installed it, I did not reinstall the sql patch. I just copied the files from the installation I had in the previous version. I had forgotten that there was supposed to be a menu item when I made the post above.

So the mod will work if you happen to have had it on a previous version of ZC. Otherwise, new users of this mod will need to wait for an updated SQL patch when installing on 1.5.

And given there is no active "maintainer" of this mod, it will be a while before that happens.. Truthfully who ever updates it for v1.5 should make and attempt to correct the other known issues with this mod and eliminate the need for all the "workaround" solutions..

Works on new fresh install data base. just install the sql patch. Then goto your Mysql data base and answer the setup questions there.
The program works on v1.5 as far as filling out the USPS form.
Function correctly NO because setup does not show up in Configuration menu.
Security break -- Don't know

I am only aware of the one "work around" that you have to set the sending zip code to 00000 as the default and then change it to your zipcode on the USPS site. Is there other work arounds?

and quite honestly I wouldn't use any add-on that hasn't been specifically updated to be v1.5 compliant.. Also given that not everyone who updates may be not fully aware of how to verify if there are security issues, I would be cautious about which of these v1.5 ready mods I would use..

Seems like everyone is in such a hurry to upgrade that any old patch/fix posted that makes things LOOK like it works is good enough.. SMH No need for anyone to rush and upgrade unless they are running a store older than 1.3.9h.. Personally I'd rather take my time and do it right..

Dunno, I'd have to go through this whole thread.. but ANY workarounds should be fixed IMHO.. I am not a fan of workarounds as long term solutions..

Coop1979:

I've got a problem where if a customer pays with PayPal Express Checkout, everything is fine and all of their shipping information passes through to USPS correctly, but if someone pays using a Credit Card with Website Payments Pro, none of the shipping information transfers to USPS.

Any ideas?

Has this been resolved? I have the same issue with 1.3.9h.
I use FEC as well. Does this have anything to do with it maybe? This completely kills the joy. I just switched to WPP and now have the USPS fill issue as described above.

Re: usps.com Click-n-ship AutoFill Button Contrib

Okay, today (March 18) USPS changed the input form. The Auto-fill no longer works at all. Goes to old, non-existant page. New input page is: https://cns.usps.com/go/Secure/LabelInformationAction!input.action?form.deliveryCountry=1, but that, of course, is not a script location.

Autofill script calls for this page: https://sss-web.usps.com/cns/labelInformation.do which no longer exists.

Anyone able to figure out how to patch this thing? Another issue is that they now want a first and last name. Will require manually adding a dash or something for one of the names and telling the script to put the entire name in either field.

Hope someone can figure this out. Manually filling out USPS forms is NOT fun at all.

Re: usps.com Click-n-ship AutoFill Button Contrib

Go to ADMIN > INCLUDES > MODULE > usps_autfill_button.php. On line 130, replace https://sss-web.usps.com/cns/labelInformation.do with https://cns.usps.com/go/Secure/Label...iveryCountry=1. See if that works. I don't have time to test it myself, but that seems to be where the call URL is located.

From this:

<form target="_blank" method="post" action="https://sss-web.usps.com/cns/labelInformation.do" name="labelInformationForm" id="labelInformationForm">

To this:

<form target="_blank" method="post" action="https://cns.usps.com/go/Secure/Label...iveryCountry=1" name="labelInformationForm" id="labelInformationForm">

(For some reason, this forum page is shortening the new URL, so I have no idea what it should be. But you get the idea.)

I hope that everyone that uses this module and all other Zencarters that don't will email and phone the USPS to let them know they have shut down many thousand of their customers from shipping USPS. Take a lot of brain power to come up with this brilliant move especially when the USPS is broke. Now going broker!

I have tried this a couple of times, even cleared my cache, but it keeps going to the same old page.

Re: usps.com Click-n-ship AutoFill Button Contrib

Tried replacing the url, but I think the problem goes deeper. At the place in the code where the url is, there is a call to a script on the USPS site. Likely that script or location has changed. I did try replacing just the target post url, but that only resulted in taking me to that page, but no data carried over.

Here is the code start:

<script src="https://sss-web.usps.com/cns/jscript/labelInformation.js"></script>

<form target="_blank" method="post" action="https://cns.usps.com/go/Secure/LabelInformationAction!input.action" name="labelInformationForm" id="labelInformationForm">

I sure wished Qhome would come out of hiding and give a hand here Or at least tell us if this to involved for a quick fix so we would know whether to find another solution.

Re: usps.com Click-n-ship AutoFill Button Contrib

I cant' find any information thru USPS.com. THe autofill is not listed as part of the ecommerce API - whether it was before or not I don't know. If it was then they have removed it.

The new click and ship is now more than one page - first choose country, then log in, then -- because of the changes, I had to choose the answer to a security question. And then I go to the input screen. That page is the same url as the mod. But I don't remember having to login before.

The javascript that was being used in the mod no longer exists.

The mod was dependent on no log in required so if it is possible to redo this mod, it will have to be totally different - and may not be possible to do.

free alternative is from shiprush.com. After you install it on your computer, then you can set it up to use with your zen cart site.

It appears from your site that this will NOT work with Click N Ship, correct? i.e. It will not print prepaid labels?

That's what it looks like to me. I am downloading and trying. You can buy some priority mail stamps at the PO, so I am hoping for a quick fix if this will at least print out all of the details.

Getting integrated tracking etc. is a whole 'nother kettle of fish.

Shiprush does not do postage - the only way else to get the postage is stamps.com who use shiprush.

Re: usps.com Click-n-ship AutoFill Button Contrib

I have not been able to test this, but I believe I have fixed the issue.
The whole script had to be updated to match USPS's update. I'll test it when I get back to the office later today.
