Main Page Title TagLine Here

Well I have looked at FAQ followed all the steps and still I can't change the heading Line... TagLine Here. Now I must be missing something or I have lost the plot some were along the way. One of the FAQs suggested includes/languages/classic/index.php when I go to this file all there is a text file called empty. Has any one got an idea of were I am going wrong?

If you're using the new(I hope) Classic, you're on the right track. If you go straight into the includes/languages/english/index.php , copy and paste that file(index.php) into the Classic folder(the one you mentioned). Then, edit it as you wish. :smile:

I am using the purpleshades template. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. But, I can't find or get rid of the "tagline here" at the top of the page.

Did you do a search here for tagline???

Look at you header.php file and about line #22 is

  define('HEADER_SALES_TEXT', 'TagLine Here');

change the text that is inside the single quotes

Er... wouldn't it be easier to have a place in the admin to change this? I like zen cart okay, but it just seems stupid how much stuff you have to edit in the files that most other scripts out there have in the admin panel.

I'd also like to just have the option to completely turn this feature off... all from the admin panel.

Am i correct in assuming that the 'Tag Line' is what is used to provide a site title eg. "My Web Site"..? If so, I am having a little trouble with page centering when a logo is present on either side. The centering is based on whether the image is present or not. Can this be such that the title/tag line is centered on the page width and not the remaining horizontal space after logo insertion?

Also, could someone point me in the direction of altering the site navigation panel(below logos etc, before main content), i simply wish to reduce its height, and the css is not providing that to me. I can modify its background so I feel i must be close......

Okays,

that failed dismally.

I need to centrally locate a single image that contains my website title and a graphic, in the header section.

I have been unsuccessful in getting a logo AND my tagline/title how I want it. Either it wont position correctly, or it fails to display at all.

I also wish to remove the hyperlink from this image.

Any ideas please?

I have the tagline changed to the company's name but I've got the same problem with the text not centering correctly now that the company logo is on the left side of the header. However, I'd really rather have a transparent gif with the company's name over the header rather than the tagline text. How would I do that?

Also, my title at the top still says Zen Cart...where do I change that to say my company's name?

I've had nothing but trouble due to my extreme (BAH!) ignorance with this type of stuff and I really appreciate all the help the Zenners have been giving me. You people are awesome! :D

Ok I figured out the browser bar title part...still looking for help with the transparent gif over the header and the alignment problem. Altho...I suppose I could just make a logo using the company's logo and the text and upload that then center it rather than left align it the way it is now...that would give me the text I want in the center with the logo to the left of it. It's quick and dirty and not really what I want tho...

I did it the quick and dirty way. It's not perfect but it will do.
