I received a message from my host, suspending my account for running ZenCart, because purportedly, it is running 200 queries on a single page view. Is this true? See the log at:

Yes, that is normal behaviour.
If your host can't handle that, then they're not suitable for an eCommerce system.
If you look at our Certified Hosts (see link at top of page), you'll find that they place no such restrictions on you, and are very competitive in their pricing.
