Re: Page Not Found override not working for me

sillygirl1212,
Here's some code to use if you have cpanel. It finds an image of your choice to "brand" the page to match your site. It looks for something similar on your site and suggests it to the customer. If it can't find something similar, it gives them the opportunity to search your site for what they were looking for.> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="includes/templates/your_custom_template/css/stylesheet.css" />

<img src="/includes/templates/your_custom_template/images/some_image.gif" alt="Your Site's Name" border="0">

<h3>We're sorry. The information you are looking for may have changed.<br />We've recently revamped our site to better serve our customers.</h3> <h4>Hopefully the system has suggested a link for you to follow.<BR />If not, please use the search block to search our site for your item(s).</h4> <style type="text/css"> #goog-wm { } #goog-wm h3.closest-match { } #goog-wm h3.closest-match a { } #goog-wm h3.other-things { } #goog-wm ul li { } #goog-wm li.search-goog { display: block; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> var GOOG_FIXURL_LANG = 'en'; var GOOG_FIXURL_SITE = 'your_url_for_your_site/'; </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://linkhelp.clients.google.com/tbproxy/lh/wm/fixurl.js"></script>You'll find an example at <http://gomagnetic.com/flexiril>

This is entered in your cpanel under Advanced >> Error Pages >> 404.

Even without cpanel, you can create a 404.shtml file from the code and FTP it to your root.
