Lookup tool

Hi all,
Yes i am a newbee to the zen mater tool and i am trying to make a lookup tool that will be able to catagorize multiple products in multiple catagories. let me give some background becuase that may be too vague. I have a radiator that would fit a Acura intergra and Honda civic but the product would also be able to fit the cars for multiple years. I am pulling my hair out becuase i cannot figure out associate multiple product with multiple catagories and then use a lookup tool to be able to search for my product.

The URL uses linked dropdowns...
That is the selected value of the first drop down generates the selection list for dropdown2 .....

Take a look at the "Advanced Search" if the models and years are in the product description that should give you decent functionality....

Thank you so much for the quick reply. yeah the advanced serch would probably help but i am trying to do a lookup like the one on that page. the guy really wants someything like that. is is possible with zencart? was it ever discussed on a previous thread? i tried searching for it but could not find what i was looking for. any help would be nice!! :-)

For the first part, you can "link" a product to appear in other categories. For the best background on this I suggest that you setup an install with the demo DB loaded as there are countless examples of the features that are in Zen Cart and each product description is an explanation of what is applied.

For the other "search" function...this will require custom coding but this can be based off the manufacturers search functionality.
