Products image wont display

Hello everyone.
I am testing new site , i have made few product entries, and uploaded images for them. Images used to show , but now no matter what i do , Product image wont show .. i get the broken box ..
even when i enter the URL to image directly , still wont show the image .
would someone please tell me what is going on .. ???

Is the directory /images and all subdirectories set to 777

Yes.. is been set to 777
I can uplaod to the directory , but yet , i get the image with the text ( Image not avalible ) ..
is very odd.. :down: nothing was changed .. no setting or permission was tempered with , just boom .. no more image..

Did you try to look at your images separately in the browser?

Yes.
but it is not showing , it says image can not be displayed because it contains errors.. ( Firefox )
When i use different browser such as Konqueror I can see the image..
did empty catch , cleaned up old files , etc..
is not showing up also in IE ..

silly question i know, but do your extenstions and names match? EXACTLY?

i found that i did a BUNCH of pics as .JPG and in my ep sheet i titled them as .jpg and so they didnt show up...

What is ep sheet ??? why do i see that image in one browser but, firefox , ie is not showing the image at all .. just the link ..........

it was working before ..
is there somewhere in admin page where i can change the extensions???

ah okay i missed where you could see it before and it was working in other browsers. i thought it wasnt showing at all for you.

are you using image handler? I know i had that issues with it a bit back, and i had to uninstall it, and reinstall it to get it to work.

ep=easy populate mod, easy way to upload a bunch of products at once.

here it is again..this is thread number 7 ive found describing this issue and still no fix.

oddly enough the same mods are replying.

surely you guys would recognise a pattern here?
