for a goof, this is what I get when I 'remove' the file... (so I know it's not there)

Then, here is the error with your replacement file placed in the functions folder

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare zen_get_products_new_timelimit() (previously declared in /Volumes/Files/MCzenstore/includes/functions/functions_lookups.php:792) in /Volumes/Files/MCzenstore/includes/functions/functions_lookups.php on line 850

I checked permissions also..... They all seem right on that folder.

Is this file tied to anything else that I could have modified that would cause this?

Go to the Admin ... Tools ... Developer's Tool Kit ...

In the bottom input box type:
function zen_get_products_new_timelimit

Do a search on the Catalog for that ...

What files do you find it in?

this is the only file that contains it

Searching 733 files ... for: function zen_get_products_new_timelimit

/Volumes/Files/MCzenstore/includes/functions/functions_lookups.php

I think I added a couple too many functions on that file ...

It is updated on your site now ... see if that is working better for you ...
