Improved Attributes Controller says no stock available when there actually is.

We have installed version 1.1 of the Improved Attributes Controller and we have a highlevel of traffic hitting the site today and we are getting some notices in the shopping cart about not being able to purchase a product when their are actually 1-2 available in the inventory. This doesn't seem to happen if there is a stock level of 5 or more. I had to turn off the check level so that customers could order but of course now customers can place orders for things that are out of stock. In our case our products may not be available once they have been sold out. If we get more stock then great, but we don't want to allow back ordering.

If anyone could shed any light on this we would really appreciate it.

Here is another thing. I cleared the cart, changed the inventory quantity from 1 to 10. Readded the product to the cart and still got the no stock available message. Double checked the attribute stock and their is deffinatly stock on what I selected.
