New Products off -- except for message

I turned off all of the New Product switches (Admin, Index Listings) and that seems to work fine except for one message that comes up on a certain page "New Products for September."

It only comes up when I empty a shopping cart -- when the page refreshes it comes back with "Your shopping cart is empty" (which it should) and then below it prints "New Products for September." (which it shouldnt). Have I missed a switch somewhere?

On the Shopping Cart ... as of v1.3.5 you need to gulp touch the tpl_shopping_cart_default.php ... :cry:

Wonder if I will remember to fix that in the next release? :smartass:

Thanks -- I did what had to be done and the message is gone... at least until I upgrade later.

In the tpl_shopping_cart_default.php file I removed 1 line near the end of the program (about line 181). The code was:

<?php require($template->get_template_dir('tpl_modules_whats_new.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'templates'). '/tpl_modules_whats_new.php'); ?>

It works fine.

FYI, for anyone else reading this thread, the current release 1.3.7 has the options for the empty cart under Configuration->Stock.

i cant seem to turn new products off.

i went to config and stock then changed this to zero but it is not working : (

If you mean on the Shopping Cart page when empty ... peek in the Configuration ... Stock ...

Check your templates and overrides ... do you have the new code in there?

i just started the site with shashbox and it came preloaded with 1.37

so it must be in the template i used . sophy blue .

what is the code that i am looking for ?

can you point me in the direction of the code that needs to be changed ?

Are you saying New Products are still showing up on an EMPTY SHOPPING CART page? Or are you saying New Products show up elsewhere? Cause there are more places to turn new products off, such as under "Configuration", then "Index Listing".
