ok problem.....

i decided to install the improved whos online download. I followed the directions and uploaded the corrected files. It showed the refresh buttons twice. So i did it again......still a double row of the same buttons. A few more tries and i totally messed it up, so I reuploaded the original whos_online files, both the one located in admin and the one located in includes/languages/english/whos_online.

Some funky code appeared in the who's online box on my main page, so after numerous tries and possible fixes, none of which worked, i removed the entire box from my front page.

Now only one problem remains.....where the tag line used to read, "Welcome to the New and Improved MoonCave Crystals", it now reads.....Who's Online

I went into includes/languages/english, found the index.php and made the changes and reuploaded it to its proper place (as well as a copy to my_template in that same tree).

well, it still reads Who's Online

how do i get this back to my original greeting??? I've done everything I know how. remember, I am not a programmer or coder, so a step by step would be appreciated.

ok, its not just on the front page...it is on the check out page, the welcome page, etc.

no matter what i do (reupload the index.php, etc) it still says Who's Online

ok, i finally figured it out (thanks to winmerge). Like a monkey, I was up the wrong tree : )
