place manufacturers drop down in header

I have done everything right and i can get the manufacturers sidebox to show up in the header, but with the DIV ID manufacturersContent
when ever i try to change the height or width of the dropdown with css in my stylesheet_main.css it does nothing it will not change the width height or move where the box is located

Also, how do i get the words manufacturer to show up beside the dropdown box?

someone please help, thanks.

nevermind not sure what was going on with the stylesheet but got that to work, but i still cannot figure out how to write the word manufacturers beside the box

Id love to get this to work but everytime I enter the code in the tpl_header file, the whole site breaks. Any help pls.

Got it to work now. Had to overwrite manufacturers.php instead of putting in custom folder.
