Install from Fantastico

I am attempting to install Zencart into my root directory and it refuses to do so as the error retrieved states that there are other files in the same directory that cannot be overwritten. I don't see much in my root directory (nothing there at the moment) and wanted to know if there is a way around this problem?

first I wouldnt use fantastico to install,
you are better off getting a fresh copy and installing it manually the directions are in the docs folder inside the zip

It is my experience that Fantastico won't install to the root directory at all sorry.

You would be much better to download the files and install by hand.

ZenCart via Fantastico does not give opportunity to have zencart demo store products installed..
this is an invaluable option, because it shows how the many configurations
that are available in zencart i.e. downloads, attributes etc etc are configured via admin.
Fantastico zencart is usually not the latest release...so be guided by
TinaS and merlin1969..:wink2:
