Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

So what might one do to make the standard checkout button disappear completely? For the time being I guess I could change the button image to a white dot.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

delicious:

I've also tried with and without htaccess - Same error - Invalid or not supported Message.

khopek:

I'm having the same problem. I've already had 3 orders through GC and its not showing in admin. I am getting emails from Google saying it's failing. I have zen v1.3.8 and the GC for it.

Don't know what the htacess thing is though?

Are you running PHP as CGI? Note the instructions in the installation and readme documents.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

Maybe someone has already asked this, but why is all of the styling hard coded into the button code? I am just curious about the decision not to have id's classes and a stylesheet? Is there a chance of a change in future releases?

Anyway, cheers for puting this together, it has saved me a lot of time.

I suspect to make it easer for Google to control the presentation of the button and the text around the button, to make the presentation consistent across all the ecommerce applications and lessen opportunity for shopowners to manipulate the presentation. Just a guess.

Future GC mod for ZC development appears to be in limbo as the mod is currently without a developer. See the official support site for more info.

I see. The problem is that one size fits all never works and it is basically bad coding practice.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

I've installed GC 1.4.6 on ZC 1.3.7 twice now to no avial. I"m not getting any errors, but I'm also not seeing it installed in my admin.....

I copied the files carefully. Then made sure the option B files matched as well. Changed atributes to 777....

any ideas?

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

Hi folks,

I've installed the Google Checkout Mod on my site and it works fine, payments go through, orders show up in the admin screen and adjusting them through the admin screen affects my seller's account in Google Checkout.

I just have one problem and I hope someone can shed some light here for me...

When Google Checkout creates the new user's account in my cart after the order has been placed it doesn't do it quite right, resulting in the following error when I go to view customers.

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in /home/mgfregis/public_html/shop/admin/customers.php on line 1099

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/mgfregis/public_html/shop/admin/customers.php on line 1101

Warning: reset() [function.reset]: Passed variable is not an array or object in /home/mgfregis/public_html/shop/admin/includes/classes/object_info.php on line 29

I've searched through the forums here and on the Google Groups page but can't seem to find anyone with the same problem.

I've followed the installation instructions and this was installed on a fresh cart, I've read the readme through and checked all the common errors but I'm still getting it.

Hope you can help!!

James

Explain that to Google or any other business/organization having requirements for the presentation of their corporate identity.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

Ok setting up the shipping for google checkout is very confusing to
me.....We are using zone rates at the moment for our shipping
calculation...I would like to use the same methods for the google
checkout module but it is unclear how this can be setup to me....

Here is the zone setup:

USA orders
under $85 = $9.95 shipping
over $85 = $0 free shipping

International Shipping - 4 zones setup (won't list each one here)
under $250 = $20 - $35 shipping (depending on the country)
over $250 = $0 free shipping (all countries)

How can I set this up? Do I have to clone some other shipping modules for each zone?

Thanks for your help....

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

I've installed everything, but for some reason the Google Checkout button does not redirect to Google Checkout from the Login Page. Any ideas? Here's how to recreate the problem i'm seeing:

  1. Go to https://www.vitaminsupplementsstore.com
  2. Without loggin in/creating an account, add a product to the cart
  3. Hit the checout button
  4. From here you have the option to login, create an account or use paypal or GC.

Paypal is working perfectly, but GC does not. I appreciate any help or ideas.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

How do use google analytics ecommerce to track conversion if I soley use this mod of payment without any orders going to the zen admin/ user account created.

I have it setup like this way so they don't need to register and can just checkout using gco fast and easy, but since I do not have access to the thank you page at the end of the order how would I track conversions

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

I set up google checkout on ZC and I'm currrently trying to test it using sandbox.

When I click the google checkout button and enter my credit card details and click continue I get

Forbidden
Error 403

Does anyone have any idea as to what's going wrong?

It's running on a Win 2003 server

I've just posted this on the thread in google but in case others aren't watching that forum, here it is again.

I was getting the same error 403 but as the page (link below) states, you should use a separate buyers account and a test credit card number. It worked for me.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

I recently broke my store and had to rebuild and now GC API callback doesn't work for me. When I try to go to responsehandler.php I get sent to a 500 page error or back to my home page (if my 500 page error redirect is in place). Any help on why this is happening now when id was fine before? Thanks!

HI Amy!,
did you by a chance updated the .htaccess ??
IF not give it a try to create a new one, remember to change permission to 777 first

Marcelo

.htaccess Basic Authentication Mode
Your site Site in installed with PHP over CGI?
This configuration will disable PHP Basic Authentication that is NOT compatible with CGI used in the responsehandler.php to validate Google Checkout messages.
If setted True you MUST configure your .htaccess files here.
