Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

chain_man:

I just checked your login page and got a SSL error. Can't get far enough to tell if there are any GCO errors...

so what should I do next? and I have a stupid question about the live Merchant ID and Merchant Key I just used the ones from my account at googlecheckout under integration, though are the correct live ID and key yes?

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

webskipper:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class googlecheckout in
/includes/modules/payment/googlecheckout.php on line 27

What am I looking for?

Also, http://<url-site-url>/googlecheckout/responsehandler.php is blank.

Whenever you see "Cannot redeclare ..." start to look for a file that has been installed twice. In this case go to your Admin->Tools->Developers Tool Kit and search for "class googlecheckout extends base" in All Files (Catalog/Admin) in the last search option.

If you see 2 entries, you have 1 too many. Recheck that you have all your GCO files installed correctly.

It looks like you got your SSL working. I put an item in a cart and saw the GoogleCheckout button in full color, so it looks like you have a Google conection. I did notice the following on the shopping cart page at the bottom of the right column:

1146 Table 'zencart.products_description' doesn't exist
in:
[select distinct p.products_id, pd.products_name, p.products_ordered from gooeeeproducts p LEFT JOIN gooeeehide_categories h ON (p.master_categories_id = h.categories_id), products_description pd WHERE (h.visibility_status < 2 OR h.visibility_status IS NULL) AND p.products_status = '1' and p.products_ordered > 0 and p.products_id = pd.products_id and pd.language_id = '1' order by p.products_ordered desc, pd.products_name limit 10]

How are things working now? Are you past the java problem of a few posts ago?

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

Thanks for reply.

In The Developers Toolbox I get 1 result:

/mnt/target03/352298/352383/www.american-rc.com/web/content/shoppe/includes/languages/english/modules/payment/googlecheckout.php

Line #26 : class googlecheckout extends base {

When I add an item in the cart I do not see a Google anything just Paypal.

I installed the module per the "B" plan.

It appears that you may have the wrong googlecheckout.php file installed at the location you indicated. In my installation, I would get a hit on that phrase at includes/modules/payment/googlecheckout.php. There would be a googlecheckout.php with a bunch of "DEFINES" statements at the includes/languages/english/modules/payment/googlecheckout.php location.

I would suggest making sure that all the GCO files have gotten installed per the file structure in the installation zip file.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

Hi,

We have figured out that the transactions are going through Google checkout OK but when you order via Google checkout the order is never logged in Zencart.

So if the customer selects google checkout as payment method then he/she never gets any kind of order confirmation from Zencart and an order number.

This could make things tricky in terms of managing orders, I don't know if it is possible to fix?

Thank you in advance..

You do not state if this is in Sandbox mode or Live mode.
Live requires Google acceptable SSL cert, sandbox does not require SSL,
but if order is getting to googlecheckout and then not back to zencart,
Googlecheckout is NOT connecting to your responsehandler.php file

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

It's in live mode Misty.

We already purchased the SSL and finished installing today. (thank you for your tip on that).

About responsehandler.php, how do we set this up?

Before going LIVE, did you open googlecheckout
SANDBOX account and test/check that it worked?

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

This is another issue, you are right for asking, but we wanted to start using the
module straight away once it was functioning order-wise. There are already some
processed orders and we are just hoping to finish this last piece of integration.

We would appreciate any further tips/feedback.

Thank you again,

Kostas

If you do not get googlecheckout working correctly in Sandbox mode
first, as instructions state, then you will have problems getting
Live mode installed/working.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

Hi everyone. I'm having a few issues with my implementation of the GC module in ZenCart. If anything I post here has already been discussed/resolved in this thread, I apologize. I just don't have the time to sift through 250 pages this stuff. As a disclaimer, I have read in their entirety the INSTALLATION and README files supplied with the GC module and have made exhaustive attempts to seek answers on my own before posting here. With that said, here is some preliminary information about my setup:

ZenCart Version: 1.3.8
GoogleCheckout Version: 1.4.7

  • I am using GoogleCheckout exclusively for processing orders. I have removed the default Checkout button from my templates to prevent users from clicking on it.
  • I have set up a Sandbox account for testing purposes and it is working fine.

Here are the problems I am currently having:

  1. When users are NOT logged in to a ZenCart store account before placing an order, the process goes as follows:
  • User fills cart
  • User proceeds to Google Checkout
  • User confirms order
  • User is returned to the "checkout_success" page of my site, but their shopping cart is still full.
  1. If a user does not create a ZenCart store account, and proceeds to place an order, the process goes as follows:
  • User fills cart
  • User proceeds to Google Checkout
  • User confirms order
  • User is returned to my site, but is shown the "time_out" page, prompting them to enter their ZenCart store account login and password.

Both of these situations are problematic and will no doubt be extremely confusing to shoppers...

  1. Orders appear in the Google Checkout admin site, allowing me to charge and process the orders. However, they do not appear in the ZenCart admin site.

  2. I am having a great deal of trouble getting responsehandler.php to work, and this could very likely be the cause of the above issues. I am 99% sure that my web host is not using PHP as a CGI module (mod_php4 appears as one of Apache's loaded modules) and thus I have disabled the .htaccess method of authentication for responsehandler.php. I have set the permissions for responsehandler.php to 755 and 777 for both of the log files. However, the Google Checkout Integration Console and ropu's Responsehandler Test page both return a 403 Forbidden error.

This is my biggest problem at this point. I believe if I can get responsehandler.php to work, my other issues will be resolved as well.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Did you alter zencart googlecheckout admin settings to your correct
    configuration for LIVE mode?
  2. Do you have an acceptable level SSL cert that is approved by googlecheckout?
  3. URL of your site is?

misty:

  1. Do you have an acceptable level SSL cert that is approved by googlecheckout?I am in the process of getting an SSL Certificate, but that should not present a problem at this point because Sandbox does not require SSL.

misty:

  1. URL of your site is?http://cafeamoria.com - We have a few "dummy" products set up for testing purposes. Feel free to make a test account and mess around with it as much as you want, all the accounts will be cleared when we go live.

Thanks misty! :)

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

  1. We are currently running Google Checkout in Sandbox mode, so all settings in ZenCart are configured to facilitate this mode of operation.

  2. I am in the process of securing an SSL Certificate, but since Sandbox doesnt require SSL, this should not be an issue at this time.

  3. http://cafeamoria.com - Feel free to make a test account and mess around. We have a couple "dummy" products up for testing purposes.

Thanks misty.

Re: Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

  1. We are running in Sandbox mode at the moment, so everything is set up to facilitate that mode of operation.

  2. We are working on getting our SSL Certificate installed, but that shouldnt be an issue at the moment since we are using Sandbox.

  3. Our site is cafeamoria.com. We have a couple "test" products up, so feel free to make an account and mess around with whatever you like. I dont think you can break anything at this point.

P.S. Is someone deleting my posts? I've had to repost this three times now...
