They didn't share most likely, because they don't know what was done. Someone with experience at this sort of thing went in, did what had to be done, case closed.
Once you start using a Shopping Cart you can either spend time doing trial & error and researching and/or hire someone to do what you cannot. No way around it.
The learning is in the doing.
