How not to show image for some products?

Hi all,

For some of the products I do not have an image, and therefore, do not want to show “No Picture Available” image for those products. In the admin | Configuration | Images, I have set the “Product Image - No Image Status” to zero (0), and that works, but instead of the image, it places the product name where the image should be, so that the product name is not repeating itself, once in the image field and once in the item name field. Is there a way that I can also not show the product name in the image field as well as no images if there is no image uploaded for that product? I am using version 1.3.0.1.

Simple, there's an image in your images folder called "pixel_trans.gif". Create a copy and name it no_picture.gif. Put back the settings to show picture. This way you won't have to touch the code.

This happens in FireFox but not in IE due to the Alt tag ...

This has been updated for the next release, but is fairly in depth to post as a quick fix ...
