How to use Qty Discount Attribute

Hi:

I'm sorry for my blondeness but I'm sick of hunting and not finding my answer!

I can't find anything anywhere that explains or shows simply how to use the Qty Discount field/box in Attributes.

I don't get it. I don't get what I'm supposed to put in there and in what format. I posted this question several weeks ago on someone else's thread and it didn't get answered. I don't understand why it's not something easily answered. Please don't ream me for double posting. I truly think my question got overlooked.

So if I have a product that changes price when you buy 5 or more how do I do that?

Use products price manager - the green dollar sign in the admin -> Catalog -> Categories/Products page.

An example of the Attributes Qty Price Discounts would be to use:

1:11,3:10.00,6:9.00,9:8.00,12:7.00,15:6.00

This would show a link on the page to display the quantity discounts:

Example:

Color Red
QTY 1 2-3 4-6 7-9 10-12 13+
PRICE $11.00 $10.00 $9.00 $8.00 $7.00 $6.00
