I have used the developer thing in the admin to try and find contact_us
and I have looked through my site but I just can't locate it. Where can I find the php/html for the contact_us page

Oh I don' t want to change it. I just wanted to know what all I could link to. I didn't know the directory and names of the files.

Uh ... where are you linking to it from? The easiest way to link to miscellaneous pages from outside the cart is to go to the page and copy and paste the URL from your browser address bar.

I am not linking from anywhere. I bought a template and there was a hard coded menu at the top.

The hadcoded menu does not point to any directory.

it just has cotact_us

I hope that you did not spend too much for this template....you will soon find out that there just too many things that are part of the cart that are needed for your custoners to be able to complete an order, login & out and many other things to attempt to run the cart site from a "remote" portal. You will wind up either spending way too much effort trying to incorporate all the functionality into your template or you wull port the template looks over to the ZenCart system.

This link above is part of the Zencart template along with login/logout and everything you need to have a great experience on the site.

How else do you hardcode links? For instance, say I didn't know that would link to the contact us page.

If you want to find this use the admin > tools > devel tools > and search for contact us. Now that you know it is <?php echo zen_href_link('contact_us')?>">, find the file that has this from your search results. Now pick another say "privacy" and search and look for similar php echo...entries to find the files & link code for them.

Yeah i tried to do that originally.

I went to that in the Developers thing and typed in contact us, and contact_us and every combo i could think of and it did not come up.

Just searched in my admin for contact_us and it located several files...

Are you indicating where to search in the drop down?
Are you entering this in the bottom left box? "Look-up in all files"

I used the bottom left box but i didnt tell it where to search. i was kinda hoping it would search the whole thing.

My pre post; the "look up in all files" was to be on the line above where it is shown...

there is a drop down selector that has this selection in it.

Did not want to give the impression that one must enter it into the search box.
