A few custimisining issues :(

Hey guys,
I'm just creating my new shop using Zen and i've run into a few issues that I can't seem to find the answer on here for.
-How do you change the units that the shipping weight is in? (it's lbs and I want it in either grams or kilograms)
-How do you remove the requirement to enter a telephone number when a new customer registers?
-How do you change the birthday date format from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy?

Also i'm using the future_zen template and i've had a lot of trouble changing the header image. I've even downloaded the original future_zen header and just copy and pasted mine into it keeping the same pixel size and saved it and uploaded it again, but now no image is showing at all :(

I think you'd have to change all the core imperial abbreviations to metric abbreviations. You can search for all of them, throughout the core files, in Admin-Tools-Developers Tool Kit.

As for recoding the rest of your queries, I don't know... I've never changed those.

For the image problem, do you have a URL to view?

Removing "required" for phone number... :blush:

  1. Go into; Admin-Configuration-Minimum Values
    `Telephone Number = 0(zero)

  2. Go into; yourstore/includes/languages/english.php
    Find: define('ENTRY_TELEPHONE_NUMBER_TEXT', '*'); Replace with: define('ENTRY_TELEPHONE_NUMBER_TEXT', '');

Someone else will have to guide you on the birth date format. :yes:
