Float and clear / Image issue on IE

According to good ole MS IE7 is compliant (pure BS) and there are currently NO workarounds that are for IE7.

Firefox is showing you COMPLIANT code and CSS you are working in reverse logic you should be making it look right in firefox and then apply IE hacks to make it work in IE 6 and below,

Re: Float and clear / Image issue on IE

sorry for not replying earlier. i was traveling.

is it better not to have so many css sheets? i just never bothered to combine them. some of the little add ons come with there own stylesheets.

the border of navColumnOne and navColumnTwo puts a border between the two columns and the centerColumn. it does not effect the img borders. i tried getting rid of it and the img borders remained. :(

this border only shows up on ie7 (not sure about ie6). here is a shot of the side picture i have in one of the sideboxes. you can see the border come up because the background is set as #eeee7c (a very light gray). the arrow points to the light gray border that comes (same color as the background). there is a white 3px border after that gray border that is intended and is controlled by border-bottom setting on picturesidebox. if you look at that box on firefox there is no gray border but just the white border (which is what is intended). it does this strange border in all pics.

by the way, thanks for all the help. zenzart is an good product but its the zencart community that makes the product great. :)

Re: Float and clear / Image issue on IE

He guys, I'm so happy!

First off, great script, love the features, it's better than anybody can ask for, even if it doesn't concern freeware.

Anyways, I've found it! I've found the way to solve this bottom line problem, which is also mentioned in this topic.

Basically, all you have to do is use a <br> tag behind you image, everytime you use one.

<img src="image.jpg" /> (gives the error in IE)

<img src="image.jpg" /><br> (works it out smoothly)

If you don't, he somehow puts a 3 pix margin between the pic and whatever comes under it. I know, it sounds stupid, but just try it, it works miracles!

Re: Float and clear / Image issue on IE

wow, that is wierd but it worked!

the only pic it does not work for are pics that fall into the layer called headerWrapper. any clue?

thanks for that neat trick!
