You will need to check your server's errorlog for the reason.

Re: Centering logo and combatting 500 Internal Server Error

Maybe this post may give you some ideas as to the cause of that message.
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48359

Perhaps some files are corrupted and need to be re-uploaded.

Re: Centering logo and combatting 500 Internal Server Error

mescalbean:

why would it be working 8 hrs ago and not now,

I don't know.

  1. It could be any number of things, including what I've suggested above.

  2. If you are using Dreamweaver for uploading, DO NOT use "check in" and "check out" unless you know EXACTLY what that is doing on your server. It WILL cause problems in several cases.

  3. The link I posted earlier explains several other possible causes that are permissions-related. Have you checked and verified all of those suggested causes (the red text in that post)? Have you asked your hosting company about the implications of those issues on your site?

  4. You could try this step, to be sure that no files have accidentally become corrupted on your server, whether caused by you or by someone else: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/Troubleshoot_-_Diagnosing_Obscure_Issues

  5. You need to talk to your hosting company for further information.

I have the same problem but when I go to my template/common/tpl_header.php, I do not have the same code as referenced above. That is, when I open up the tpl_header.php file in Dreamweaver and search for (for example) tbody or td height, it indicates "**Done. Not found in the current document.**" I have searched in both my custom_template/common/tpl_header.php and the default_template/common/tpl_header.php with no success. I am using 1.3.5. Here is the link to the Zen Cart part of our site:
<http://www.holymtn.com/catalog>

Also, what happened to the search feature in the Zen Forum? It is an option only in the FAQ area of the site now, much to my consternation.

Re: Centering logo and combatting 500 Internal Server Error

Hi Rae!
If you are trying to center your logo, this should work in your situation;

In your stylesheet.css, find:

#logo, .centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {
	float: left;
	}

Replace with;

.centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {
	float: left;
	}
#logo { text-align: center }

Is the search you mentioned not working for you? I just tried the "Search" in the upper blue bar and it seems to work okay.

Re: Centering logo and combatting 500 Internal Server Error

Are you trying to center your 'logo'(the overwrote little Zen Cart logo) or the actual header background? Do you have a URL for your old skool Zen Cart? Only then, we'll see if this is a hair pulling issue. :laugh:

I'm magical; http://www.burningcardmagic.co.uk/

Ahhh, so you went the troublesome way and made a full size image out of the mini logo. That won't go over to easily with the newer versions as you'll crush the tagline wrapper and make unnecessary whitespace in IE.

For a quick fix, declare or make your logo width to 750px... the same width as the actual layout. :smartass:
