Notify Me of Updates

What is this and how does it work? I have searched and all it tells is how you turn it off. :) Please help. :)

If this is what I think it is and in your admin...then it checks your version against the most current version available and notifies you that an upgrade is available.

OHH... not that one... the one in the catalog that you can have on using a side box. It gives the customer the ability to "subscribe" ... It says... Notify me of updates to "product name"

Is there an easy way to tell if this portion of the cart is being used? In otherwords, if there are customers signed up for update notifications? We don't want to have to do extra work if it isn't a used item. :)

I don't recall there being any 'admin' view for displaying customers AND their selected product notifications. However, if you just want to see if it is in use, then you can view the data table: products_notifications

If you need more information than that, you'd need to create a page and/or query.
