Another Newbie with a logo.gif question

I am trying to replace the zen cart logo with a custom logo. I have found the documentation that walked me through the task, however, my custom logo appears as a red X followed by the Header_Alt_Text. It doesn't seem to recognize the new logo. Have I completely messed this up? I haven't a clue on how to fix this. Please help.

What folder did you put the image in? What is your URL?

When you asked the question it got me thinking. I bet I put it in the wrong place. Sure enough, I had it in an images folder, but not in the right place. I thought I followed the directions exactly.
