Updateing prices/inventory from Quickbooks.

I use Quickbooks to manage my inventory and prices. Is there a prictical way that I can enter updated prices and product quanity into Quickbooks then upload it to Zencart? It's a pain to have to update prices and quanity on hand both in QB and Zen. Too much double entry. :(

Re: Updateing prices/inventory from Quickbooks.

My client needs the same thing. I loaded all of his products into Zen, then exported all of them into an iif file. I then, imported the products into Quickbooks He will then receive products and adjust the inventory levels into Quickbooks. He wishes to export an iif from Quickbooks and import into Zen and update his inventory levels for his shopping cart. Therefore, he can ensure he is selling products which he has plenty of stock.

It doesn't look like QBI has this capability....does it? Maybe I am doing something wrong.

By the way, except for this issue, I LOVE QBI!!! Thank you Adam

Re: Updateing prices/inventory from Quickbooks.

I've had an online store since June 2006 and am about to open a "real" store, keeping the online store going. I've been fretting about how I'm going to keep the website stock levels correct as I make sales in the "real" store. Have you found a solution to this? All I could think of was this:

I'll periodically export my item list from QB
I have an Excel sheet which contains an entire listing of my stock - it also has a macro which formats it for use by Easy Populate (or EZ Populate - it's in the downloads section)
I'll add a vlookup to the Excel sheet so that it checks the quantities against the item list exported from QB
I'll then use EZ-Populate to bring the Excel sheet into Zen Cart

It's probably only 10-15 minutes work each time, but I'd so like to have the Zen Cart quantities updated in real time.

A total pain in the neck, but it's the only thing I could come up with.

If you've found a better solution, I'd so love to hear about it.

Thanks - Cath
