Stock problem for special gift box

Hi !

I have a new problem :wacko:

I am going to sell jewerly.. With these jewerlies, you can order a gift box if you want. So, I did an attribute called Gift Box and you can choose either without a gift box or with a gift box (costs extra and more weight).

So, if I have 5 pcs of a ring, and the customer want to have a box for this ring, ZC will say that the item is out of stock. But I have 5 rings in stock. But I didn't say anywhere that I have 100 gift boxes. Is it possible to do this somewhere ?

If I enter Products with Attribute Stock and enter 100 goxes for this ring, ZC thinks that I have 100 rings on stock.

I am using 1.3.5 with Stocks by attributes for 1.3.5. I hope you understand what I mean.

Is the question unclear or noone have a solution ? Do I have to put a description text for each product on which gift box fits with the product and force the customer to go to a gift box category and order it manually ?

Ok, so maybe a link to the problem will be easier.

If you order one, klick on shopping cart, you will see that it's out of stock, even if I have 1 on stock. It doesn't matter if you choose "None" or "Gift Box 2", it will say "Out of stock", because ZC don't know that I have 100 gift boxes onstock. So, how to solve this problem, as above and make the customer to enter a category called gift box and that he have to order it from that category ? Or do anyone else have a better solution ?

At this time, Zen Cart does not manage Stock by Attributes ... so we would not know how many Gift boxes you have vs rings in stock ...
