Possible to exclude linked items in main category () ?

Hi !

Lets say that I have a category called Rings. Inside I have four sub-categories so it looks like this:

Rings (40)
Rings 1 (10)
Rings 2 (10)
Rings 3 (10)
Rings 4 (10)

If I now do a sub-category called All Rings and link all the rings from category 1-4, it will look like this:

Rings (80)
All Rings (40)
Rings 1 (10)
Rings 2 (10)
Rings 3 (10)
Rings 4 (10)

This is correct, in a way. There are only a total of 40 rings on stock, not 80, like it says in the main category. Is it possible to disable the linked products within the () ?

No, I like to show how many products I have per category... So if it's possible to not to show that part, it would be the best solution for me...

Is there any update to this issue? I have a client who really wants this "corrected." :wacko:

He also wants the product count showing, so turning it off isn't an option.
