Bestsellers

I've seen that in the "Bestsellers" box there are shown the most sold products of the current category.
Is it possible to show the most sold products of the entire catalog?

I apologize for the stupid threads.
The problem is that I have:

karate <- category
| | |
|
training <- subcategory lev. 1
| - - - - |
| - - - - |
kata - kumite <- subcategory lev. 2
|||| ||||
.... ....

and clicking the subcategory lev. 1 (training) I'd like to see the sum of the bestsellers of kata+kumite, but I see this is out of the logic of the select.

The best sellers does show all of the overall bestsellers on the main page of the shop and it then filters the results based on the category you are in.

I see that there are problems to menage subcategories.

Is there a way to disable this filtering? I would want a customer to continue to be enticed by bestselling products elsewhere on the site - not just in the cat/subcat they're in (which might only have 1-2 items!).
