Re: New Site Design - Your Feedback Please

well its not bad, however i think that you need to change your live chat section, as it states its been hacked..... it does not fallow the color scheme/layout of your index, so it looks like they have been takin to a completely different site.

also the same thing with your help system.

other than that, you have made some good changes... going by the top sellers, it seems like your customers like what you have as well..

cheers.

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback we was unaware that someone had hacked our chat service, for security reason this has now been removed and will be replaced with a new and more secure service soon.
With regards to our Helpdesk area, we have plans to change that as well any ideas on what kind of service we could use would be appreciated. We are looking for online Ticket / FQA area.

Thanks again.

Re: New Site Design - Your Feedback Please

My opinion only....what the heck are you doing putting that banner at the head of the page? To me, that instantly screams cheap and tacky...and it doesn't even open in a new window, but moves your newly arrived visitor away from your site.

And if the response is "No-one clicks on banner ads anyway" then why are you using up your own valuable space?

Change "Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?" Firstly, "Guest" is the most impersonal and unfriendly attempt at a friendly greeting there is. Just Losing "guest" makes it much nicer. And 99% of people are immediately going to think "No" to the question, so again, better to re-phrase it. (e.g. Returning customers may check the status of their account and orders by logging in. New customers are invited to create their personal profile by clicking here)

"Congratulations! & Welcome To Electronic-Web.co.uk" - apart from the obvious error, you've just used the word "welcome"in the previous line.

Best increase the size of the "body" text for the older generation! :wink2:

Not too sure about those contrasting greens - to me, they clash.

SERIOUS image optimisation required, and you appear to have ignored the ZC image naming/directory structure convention. I suggest you install Image-Handler.

Product info page needs attention to display properly in Firefox and agaian, a personal thing, but I don't think I've yet seen a site where using the images in the next/previous section looks good.

Unless you have multiple languages and multiple currencies, you don't need those sideboxes.

And that is NOT Powered by Electronic Web.co.uk! You can just about get away with claiming the template is your own work although I note you're using the default buttons, but you certainly can't claim it's your code! If you can't bear the thought of leaving the Powered by ZenCart as a thank you for this excellent FREE software that you plan to make money from, then at least don't try to take credit for it!
