Arrows next to categories (NOT the counts)

Okay I read the tutorials.. and I removed the counts and arrows that showed up next to the categories. I then created subcategories. Now for each category that has a subcategory, a new arrow shows up. I've searched and all I can find is about the count with arrows.

How can I remove these subcategory arrows?

Try the following settings in the admin =>Configuration => Layout Settings

Categories Separator between links Status 1
Categories Separator between the Category Name and Count ->
Categories Separator between the Category Name and Sub Categories |_
Categories Count Prefix (
Categories Count Suffix )
Categories SubCategories Indent

Found it.. yes thanks.. it was the spacer between the category and count, even though I shut the count off, it still had a spacer on. Thanks!
