[Support Thread] Nochex APC

Nope sorry i was wrong, our store isnt live so when we were testing nochex it was in test mode and thought that was the reson for it.
Just done a live test and it doesnt work........dam we are going live in just over a week :cry:

Ah ha! My client went live yesterday just running PayPal. The shop has been inundated so I'm really glad I didn't install Nochex or we'd have been up whatsit creek without a paddle. :bored:

The Nochex APC module WORKS!!! I have been using this for 3 weeks now with NO problems!!

Those of you having problems, I suggest you install it again following all the instructions carefully and reading my notes on the previous page.

It works, honest! I'm using it on www.craftycarrot.com without ANY problems (live site, no messin'!)

Hi i'm completely new to Zen cart and i'm struggling badly.

However i've managed to install (i think) the Nochex APC module and it is showing in my payment module on my control panel. However on that module when i select edit there are a number of blank boxes wiht no text next to them.

When i run a transaction through this module on my site the page simply goes to the send a nochex payment screen rather than to a specific credit card payment screen (unlike the standard Nochex module).

Can anyone tell me what i'm doing / have done wrong!

Apologies in advance for my stupidity but this whole Zen Cart business has left me drained!.

Oh also just found out on top of my issues above when i goto to turn off the nochex apc module the standard nochex moduel is also turend off!

Any one please shed any light for me!

The older NoChex module and the newer NoChex APC module cannot co-exist (that's why you're getting the blank boxes with no text) - you will need to remove the older NoChex module then try a test payment again.

I hadn't deleted the existing module before i started installing the new one becasue the installation instructions say they can co-exist providing they aren't named the same (they're not).

But i'll give it a try.

i'm now not seeing the APc module in admin and when i ran a test transaction through i get this message on the top of my orders:

The file that's being called doesn't exist in the mod. There is a file there called 'nochex_admin_notification.php.old' but renaming that gives an error.

You'll need to find this line in includes/modules/payment/nochex_apc.php and comment it out so that file isn't called:

    if ($ipn->RecordCount() > 0) require(DIR_FS_CATALOG. DIR_WS_MODULES . 'payment/nochex_apc/nochex_apc_admin_notification.php');

The mod will work without that file, you just don't get as much detail displayed about the transaction on the customer's order page.

I haven't got a page in admin (like the Paypal IPN screen) with which to display transactions.

Should there be one with this mod?

Also after test transactions the nochex payment screen isnt going back to my own site.

I'd read that i might need to alter settings in my Nochex account to set that up but i cant find anywhere on my Nochex sellers account where i can do that.

You won't get transaction details on the customer order page similar to what peears when a customer has used Paypal - the file you commented out is the file that would normally display that info.

The return URL is set in includes/modules/payment/nochex_apc.php:

and - as far as I know - isn't something you can change in the NoChex admin.

First of all thank you so much for your help Pixxie, as you've probably gathered i'm a complete novice on this kind of thing!

On the return URL code above i have entered my shop address replacing the 'returnurl' code but it is still not automatcially going back to my shop page.

Is there anything else in this line i need to amend other than the 'returnurl' part?

You don't need to change that line of code - it inserts the URL of your shop automatically (change it back).

If you aren't getting returned to your shop after paying, there's likely to be another cause.

So is there a field in Admin where i am supposed to set the return URL?

I can't see one but i just wonder where Nochex is looking for the return URL details.

To repeat, that line of code sets the return URL automatically based on the URL of your site. You don't need to change anything. There is no setting in admin.
