Secure of delete the 'docs' folder...

I've recently followed the security guidelines and noticed that there is no mention of the 'docs' folder.

Surely if such a folder is left 'unprotected' on the server it could be used by 'nasty' people?

So would/should you delete, move or protect this folder?

Yes, you can delete it - you don't need that folder on your server. Just keep a copy on your local PC maybe in case you need to refer to it.
