Want to remove whitespace between header and contentmain

Hi all zenners big and small
I have a small visual hurdle which for the life of me, i cant find a way over!. . .

In the CSS, I have placed a bg- header image in the #logoWrapper property, and restyled my custom template to suit, but i cant find a solution for removing the whitespace between the image and the main page cont div. Not sure if this is space allocated for a display option which has been disabled but still rendering, or whether it's reserved for another php/html snippet thats hiding in the code......

Would anybody out there have any ideas? T.I.A

Before i say anything else, just wanted to send a zen thought out to say what a very helpful vibrant group this is; (forgot to add this yesterday).
