putting everything on secure server

I'm on plesk which means I have separate http and https directories, and they refuse to play nice together due to open base dir restrictions and the like.

Here's my question: is there any reason I should not run everything on the secure server? So far it seems to work but I'm wondering why it's not set up like that to begin with (ie. am I in for problems down the line if I do this?)

Here's the config file...note I never use "http" only "https".

Thanks!!
