who's online and stats question....

hi all,

I've wondered this for a month now. Our site is now live, we're just waiting for orders, u know the usual.

anyways, every day i come home and immediately view our admin page to see how many hits/page views i have had that day. We all know that these numbers display in the main admin page.

My next step in my routine is to click Who's online. Here i'll see one or two people, who just hang out on the site for 3 seconds, maybe 5... here and there, but they never go to the index page, it always just says they are on /.

My question, is Do others get this phenomenon? How do they find my site, when our yahoo adwords tell them to go to a different page on the site? Is this click fraud? Are they crackers looking for a way in?

Can someone school me on this feature and what the stats mean please?

Also, should i be worried about someone trying to access my admin/includes?

I had like 3 referrers try to access this directory only.... why would that be?

Make sure you have implemented the Security recommendations from the Docs Directory.

Re: who's online and stats question....

that I have done. I changed the name of my folder, but the losers still found it i guess? or else i was me going in inadvertently... but doubt it.

One question i do have on top of all of my other ones, is how do i implement the secure login? https://domain.com/admin.

I read in the "how to secure your site" post, that it could be done, but it didn't mention how? Is this something i should ask my service provider for? Or is it just as simple as implementing that function in my config file or something?

Alot of questions, but i know others wonder the same thing too.
