Any way to revise shopping cart items?

I am building a shop which will have lots of product attributes for each product - which means users are likely to want change attribute selections for individual items in their shopping cart before checking out.

Is there any way to do this in Zen-Cart already? Or does anyone know how to achieve this?

TIA

Re: Any way to revise shopping cart items?

This is not part of Zen Cart at this time ...

I have been working with on a new method to Update or Add to Cart when you move from the shopping_cart to the product _info page to eliminate the need for the double entry and delete from cart when changing the information ...

This can be done ... but does require quite a bit of work to get this functional on a reliable method based on attributes etc.

Re: Any way to revise shopping cart items?

Hi Ajeh,

Thanks for your reply. It sounds like my best bet then would be to create a bespoke script which can pull out the relevant values from the order then.

The product attributes in question are applied globally so I should be able to pre-render their permissable values into drop down lists and use an SQL statement to update the records.

I'm pretty new to both ZenCart and SQL, so any pointers on which tables and records store this info would be much appreciated.
