Custom meta tag?

Hi
I need to add a new meta tag to verify my site with google sitemaps. how can I add this? (kinda confused wether the automatic system takes care of this or not)

(the tag form is: <META name="verify-v1" content="xxxxx/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxxxxx=" />)
