Coupon Bug? 1c Short!

I have just come across a coupon problem which I am unsure on how to fix. It seems to me like it might be a bug.

I added a coupon to the store with the top category denied, and just one item allowed. The coupon was created three different times first at the amount of the store item which was 2.35, then at 3.00 in the hopes it would rectify the problem and then with a new coupon at 4.00 hoping it was just a glitch.

Each time when trying to purchase the item with the coupon, there was 1c left over instead of being 0.00 left over like it should have been. See screenshot below.

Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be or is this definately a bug?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

Was this a clean install or an upgrade? If an upgrade, what did you upgrade from?

I am using 1.3.6 and I upgraded from version 1.2.8

I cannot seem to reproduce this bug ...

I have a Product setup as a Download with the products_price of 2.95

I add the download attributes ...

I add to cart ... add coupon for 4.00 off ...

It shows:

Shopping Cart Contents

Qty. Item Name Total
1 x Cheap Download $2.95
* Documentation: PDF - English

Sub-Total: $2.95
Free Shipping: $0.00
Discount Coupon: 4OFF : -$2.95
Total: $0.00

How is the Product configured?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Modules ... Order Totals ... and any order totals that you have setup ...

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Modules ... Payment ... and any payment modules that you have setup ...

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Modules ... Shipping ... and any shipping modules that you have setup ...

NOTE: write down your settings before uninstalling so you can configure things correctly ...

Were you able to resolve this problem? I just noticed that I am having the same problem with my store...

I'm running 1.3.6, upgraded from 1.2.8 I believe.

From what I'm seeing, it is only happening to products that sale/special priced... it shows that there is 1 cent left after the coupon; however, if you remove the sale from the item the coupon doesn't leave the 1 cent due...

Mine is only affectiong one Category... if a product in that category is put on sale price it ends up showing one cent due after the coupon...

So far I can only make it happen in ONE category for ONE manufacturer... it's really odd...

AHHH... figured it out!

Here's what is happening in my store.

All items from Manufacturer X are on 'sale' at 50% off and a member has a coupon for a free item (100% discount). They choose Item B, which is normally 3.99, but the sale price (50% off) shows as $2.00... they use their coupon code for the 100% discount and it shows a total due of $0.01. Apparently it has something to do with the extra fractions of a cent, it only happens on products with a price ending in an odd number.

I was able to recreate this several times.
