That was it!!!
Thanks

Check in CPanel for if you have Hot linking turned on and if perhaps you are excluding your own secure pages or need to add your secure URL to this ...

You might want to turn that off completely, it has been known to interfere with PayPal transactions too.

You guys made enough suggestions that only left a few other options available as the cause ... :smartass:

Re: Modifying the <head> because SSL isn't working

I've just upgraded my Zencart to version 1.3.8.

I didn't use any ssl with the last version because....because.

However, I did want to make my site as secure as possible with the new installation...but I've hit a similar road block and need some help.

My host is Hostmonster and my site is http://www.jestcountry.com/

The admin login and admin home pages work fine through the ssl certificate; however, subsequent links do not indicate ssl. If I change my config file to make all admin pages secure, my pages load extemely slow and no icons or pictures will display.

Does anyone know how to fix it? Is my admin secure enough with only the login and home pages indicating secure?

In my catalog area, the home page does not load securely (and that's probably okay...all I want to be secure is the login and shopping cart checkout). The login link on the homepage links and loads securely but the page is completely garbled. It's almost like the stylesheet is being bypassed or overriden by something. I haven't tried the shopping cart checkout page yet...I'd like to solve the login page first.

I've posted my problems with Hostmonster but haven't received any feedback yet.

Can anyone help with this? Is there something I need to change in a stylesheet or several stylesheets to make this work correctly?

Thanks

Mike

ONLY the admin login page is secure,

and ZC is smart it will load ssl for any page where customer information is displayed or entered

as long as you can get to the login and create account as secure then you are OK

Re: Modifying the <head> because SSL isn't working

I suspect the reason for your images not showing up is because you've enabled hotlink protection. Turn that off and see if your images show up again.

Re: Modifying the <head> because SSL isn't working

uh...sorry so ignorant, but what is hotlink protection and where do I change the settings.

In my browser?

In admin settings?

Thanks for the quick responses and suggestions.

Re: Modifying the <head> because SSL isn't working

Okay, I found hotlinks and disabled them.

I now have color and icons showing up on secure and non-secure pages! Thanks.

The only display issue I have left (for now) is on my secure pages. My header bar is about half height and it partially hides menu options, fonts are larger than normal page fonts, some drop down boxes go beyond the edge of my page, I have duplicate colored headers on some of my side boxes, and the login center page is so wide it pushes the side boxes off of the normal page.

Are these ssl certificate set up issue that I need to contact hostmonster to fix or do I need to change some stylesheet settings?

Thanks again for all the tips and tricks...I should have joined the forum a year ago when I started setting up this site.

Re: Modifying the <head> because SSL isn't working

I've had enough...remove my site from the showcase and delete all my threads.

I have too many problems using your software...I'll stick to staight html.
