center column clarification - please

Would someone kindly take a look at my site http://www.treeturner.com
and let me know what it is that I'm doing wrong in causing the center to only have a background image at the top PART of the time. Like if you click on "wood" or "contact us" then no problem, you see the nice rosewood header just fine. But if your at "home" it doesn't show up.

Also I'm not at all sure about the font color selection. Especially in regards to links and visited links.

I would like to make it bigger by default. I'd like the center section to shrink and expand as the browser is resized.

Perhaps there is a document that will tell me where each "item" is on the page? and then where I can find that same item in the .css?

from what I can tell, it appears that you have turned off the breadcrumb(s) on your home page.

take a look in your

check to see if you have a line of code that looks like this:

If you do that is why the breadcrumbs are turned off on your home page.

sure enough.. its there... .now since its there I assume there is a setting in the admin to turn it off or do I need to turn it off in the tpl?

looked in config and breadcrumbs is set to "on" its weird cause its only the front page that doesn't work.

The setting in the admin panel turns the breadcrumbs on or off for all pages.

ok, ty, that makes sense because if I am correct the [cod]&&[/code] means NOT
so the php statement is stating that IF breadcrumbs is on and the current page is NOT the main page, then display the breadcrumbs.

ok, I tried that and initially it failed. I think the reason is because in nifty_zen the statement looks like this...```
if (DEFINE_BREADCRUMB_STATUS == '1' && ($current_page!='index' || (int)$cPath>0 ))

changing it to read```
if (DEFINE_BREADCRUMB_STATUS == '1'  (int)$cPath>0 )
``` resulted in the following error > Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_INT_CAST in /home/n6rej/public_html/includes/templates/nifty_wood/common/tpl_main_page.php on line 95 in order to make it work I had to remove the > (int)$cPath>0  I don't know what if anything this breaks as I don't know what the $cPath variable does.

The code should look like this after the change:
