Background colors

Hi - I'm a newbie when it comes to online stores - so please don't laugh at my lack of knowledge.

I was wondering how I change the background color in my product listing so it looks like the picture I've attached.

Also, how do I get some space between the product images, and place the images and the text to the left instead of centered.

My store is not close to complete yet, but you can check it out here.

Im a newbie too but Im sorry I cant help you. Apologese for gatecraching your thread but I cant find out how to start a new one of my own. Can you help please? Ive been looking for the 'start a new thread button for ages'

Its terrible not knowing your way around somehwere new.

You could try and add this into your stylesheet.css;

.productListing-data { text-align: left; padding: 0.5em }

.productListing-even {
        background-color: #ff0000;
        }
 
.productListing-odd {
        background-color: #cacaca;
        } 

You'll have to adjust the color hex values(in red) to suit your needs.

For create a new thread, you should go into the correct forum and Sub Froum Section.
For now we are only in a Thread /Topic, therefore we can only read or post reply.

From the top view, and refer to the breadcrumb in the heading of this page.
for example, we are located at:
=> Zen Cart Support (the Main Forum Selection)
==> Customizing the Look of Your Shop (Forum Group Heading)
===> The Stylesheet (the Forum /Sub Section, you can creat new post here)
====> Background colors (this Thread /Topic we are now inside it, we can't create new post but can reply to it)
