ZC subSilver Buttons

G'day,

ZC subSilver Buttons is a set of English buttons for Zen Cart based on the phpBB2 subSilver theme buttons from the phpBB Group
(www.phpbb.com). The original phpBB2 subSilver theme for phpBB2 was crafted by subBlue Design (www.subBlue.com).

Building two Zen Cart based shopping sites which also have phpBB2 forums using the subSilver theme, I decided to try and produce a set of buttons for Zen Cart which resemble the buttons used in the phpBB2 subSilver theme, thus providing some continuity for users.

The phpBB2 subSilver theme uses the Triplex typeface, which is a commercial product. The ZC subSilver Buttons use the Trebuchet MS typeface, distributed with MS Windows, whch is a close enough look.

Also included in the package are the Adobe Photoshop CS2 files used to build these buttons. If you want to change the colour scheme, or produce different versions for various languages, then you can do so using the included PSD files.

You can see the buttons in use on one of the Zen Cart sites I'm still developing, and thus yet to go "live" with, at www.scubadoctor.com.au/diveshop/.

Yes I like these too, the big buttons are very 'graphic'

They look blue to me though, is the silver in the background?

Incidentally its difficult for me to put new text characters into the .psd files button images, because I can't see quite what was done before, as the letters get adjusted/altered as they are saved into the image.

was it trebuchet 12pt size used, bold or normal, spaced differently etc etc?.. or what..

or is it because I'm using corel photopaint rather than adobe photoshop, to open and work with the psd originals?

The background is silver, the border and text is blue.

The font used is Trebuchet MS. I can't recall the size and spacing details, but if you were to use PhotoShop they should all be there for you.
